The Apple Route

Nestled in the rolling hills of Eastern Ontario's "Apple Country", the Apple Route meanders through pleasant orchards and friendly towns & villages between Port Hope and Trenton.

The core of the Apple Route follows signs along Heritage Highway 2 and "spurs" take the traveler to scenic Presqu'ile Park near Brighton, historical Lakeport, past Fort Kente at Carrying Place and connects with the Loyalist Parkway.

Enjoy rural life... buy fresh vegetables at the many roadside markets, pick your own fruit, enjoy a cup of freshly pressed cider and visit the many attractions of the City of Quinte West. Numerous craft stores and roadside markets carry apple-theme items. Enjoy the Apple Route "Volksmarches" which take you along scenic walks.
